Audio-chatting app Clubhouse will bring monetization feature for developers. However, they will not keep any money for themselves from the feature. Recently, the audio-based social media reported about this.
According to Clubhouse, users will be able to transact through the platform from Monday. For now, the feature will be brought for a small group. Later other users will also get the opportunity to make transactions.
According to a Reuters report, if clubhouse makers turn on the feature, users will be able to send money to them using the 'send money' option. Even if the social media doesn't make any money, the partner stripping the transaction will deduct a small amount of money as a 'processing fee'.
The San Francisco-based social networking app allows people to get together in audio chat rooms. Currently, only users of the iOS platform can use the app. However, they also need an 'invitation' to join. You cannot join the app without an invitation.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev rushed to the platform. Soon after, the global number of users of the app started to increase.
It hasn't been long since Clubhouse started its journey. In the meantime, they have been criticized for misogyny, anti-Semitism and Covid-19 misinformation. However, the organization has policies on racism, hate speech, harassment and misinformation.
